Spirit of Belron Challenge
Everyone can make a difference
We know that we can have real impact when we come together for a common purpose, and we are deeply proud of our partnership with the charity Afrika Tikkun, which helps transform the lives of children and young people in some of the poorest parts of South Africa.
Every year, thousands of Belron colleagues, together with our families, friends, partners and suppliers, join our major fundraising event, the Spirit of Belron Challenge (SOBC) to raise as much money as possible for Afrika Tikkun.
Rising to the Challenge: SOBC 2024
In 2024, we hosted the 23rd Spirit of Belron Challenge, bringing together over 10,500 participants, including colleagues, friends, families, suppliers, and partners.
The event spanned a ten-day virtual challenge and day of sports at Dorney Lake, with involvement from more than 29 countries worldwide. Throughout the challenge, we cycled, ran, walked, swam, and travelled by wheelchair, covering a total distance of over 325,000 kilometres.
Together, we have raised over €2 million (and counting), which will greatly benefit children and young people in some of South Africa’s poorest regions, through our charity partner, Afrika Tikkun.
